Should Edward Snowden be brought back to the US to be tried for treason because he leaked information about the American government surveillance?  Why or why not?

  1. I say no Edward Snowden shouldn't be brought back to the us because he would deal with a lot of things like not being trusted because he had leaked out some very secretive information.

  2. I do not think Edward snowden should be brought back to the U.S. to be tried for teason just for leaking information about the government surveillance. Edward did not commit treason b/c he didnt not spy information for other countries. Also Edward helped america be aware that our government is violating citizens rights.

  3. I think Edward snowden should be brought back to the u.s because he would be a good example to the citizens to not give out information about the government surveillance. He did not give out information to snother country. So therefore they can not try him for treason.

  4. I do not think that Edward Snowden should be brought back to the us to be tried for treason because yea he leaked out information about the governments surveillance but he didnt use any information an give it to over countries . He even found how the government was violated our rights so he shouldn't have to be tried for treason.

  5. I think this was a bit blown out of proportion. Yes, what he did can be called treason. But he didn't do to harm our country. He opened our eyes to the violation of rights that's occurring that we're completely obvious to. He, the government and NSA are wrong. They all should reap what they sow. But even though he deserves to be persecuted, I still commend him for his courageous act.

  6. I don't think Edward Snowden should be brought back to the united states because he had to deal with things such as not being trustworthy. He had gave out information that was secretive. He also found how the government was violated our rights.

  7. I don't think Edward snowden should be brought back to the US because , i feel like the US could actually trust him since he's kept it to his self . And if they bring him back you never know if he told somebody in the country he's currently in the secret and if something happenes to him russia would riot and the people he told would leak the information ..

  10. Edward Snowden should not come back to the United States because he betrayed the government. Although he did open my eyes more about our government and why are they spying on us? Yes, its the effect after 9/11 but it's taking our privacy rights away.

  11. I do not think it will be a wise idea to allow Edward Snowden back in the U.S. He leaked vital information and If they allow him back who knows what will happen. He allowed Americans to know that the government is spying on us. I don't think he is trust worthy even though he was just trying to open the citizens eyes.

  12. I do not think Edward snowden should be brought back to the U.S. to be tried for treason just for leaking information about the government surveillance.because there is probably someone else that he told an if something was to happen to him that person would probably tell their country an the u.s press

  13. I believe they should bring Edward Snowden back to be tried for treason to make an example , even though the information he leaked out might not be bad its just that he still leaked out classified information which should be punished so others after him wont stray onto his path and do the same with more dangerous information

  14. I don't think Edward Snowden should be tried for treason because I think he acted on his own. Howevr, he should be brought back to the United States to face other charges

  15. Initially, I thought that Snowden should have asylum. However, given the recent news stories, with Snowden saying that he can't be tortured because he holds sensitive information, I'm beginning to think otherwise. Hear me out.

Seeking asylum is a serious matter, and at this point, Snowden shouldn't be boasting about things like this. It makes his image look bad, and it can further reduce his chances of actually escaping the prying eye of the US government. If he keeps boasting that he has confidential information, then he most likely will get either extradited or become the catalyst for another conflict.

Snowden did a great thing by revealing the NSA's agenda, but he's not doing himself any favours by bragging about how he has confidential information. It only makes himself a more likely target for extradition and/or catalysis.

  19. Absolutely not, Edward Snowden should not be brought back and definitely not charged with treason because he didn't try and ruin our government, he's just stating facts that the government was hiding from us.

  21. i dont feel that snowden should be brought back and tried for treason because i feel he did the right thing in a way. the government took information from u.s citizens without them really knowing. he basically let us know that this is what they were doing behind closed doors. he confirmed with us what really happens with information we send out in this world today

  23. Edward Snowden should just stay over there. He could be executed if he steps foot back here, his heart was in the right place but his brain wasn't.

  24. i think that Edward Snowden shouldn't come back to the united states and should stay at wherever he is because he leaked information and he wasn't suppose to. if he comes back he could start telling people info that he hasn't leaked to the people.

  29. Khalil Lightbourne- Edward Snowden should come back to the U.S. because its only making it worse the longer he stays and he might be telling other countries more and more information about us which may hurt us in the future and which may hurt him. he doesnt have the right to let other countries know what goes on in the U.S.A. he violated the law he signed. if he wanted to say something he should have said it here and tried to do something.
